Dear Friends of SWOP ACT,

After 14 years leading the Sex Worker Outreach Program (SWOP) at the AIDS Action Council, Lexxie
Jury is moving on to pursue study and new opportunities. We are incredibly fortunate to have had the
benefit of Lexxie's passion, skills and dedication to the rights and health of sex workers during her
time with us. Lexxie will be finishing up in her role on 26 July 2019.

In consultation with sex worker stakeholders, we have taken this opportunity to redesign the SWOP
role and are now seeking applications for a Sex Worker Outreach Program Coordinator.

We're looking for a passionate advocate and educator with significant experience as a sex worker.
The successful candidate will work closely with the sex industry to provide education and support
programs on STI awareness to sex workers in the ACT. They will be an advocate for HIV and sex
workers and affirm the value of sex work and sex worker rights through advocacy for policy and law
reform. A demonstrated understanding of the diversity of sex work and sex worker backgrounds and
engagement with contemporary and emerging issues facing the sex worker community is essential.

The successful candidate will engage with sex workers in sex worker spaces, including but not limited
to studios, brothels, social media and sex worker online forums.

This position is part-time (20 hours per week) and is classified at Level 5.1 Social, Community, Home
Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010. Remuneration is $38.08 per hour (including leave
loading) plus superannuation, excellent working conditions and salary packaging.
