An exciting opportunity exists for a passionate peer advocate to join the RhED (Resourcing Health and Education in the Sex Industry) Health Education and Support Worker team. This role is responsible for health promotion and advocacy around addressing the stigma and discrimination surrounding the sex industry.

To be suitable for the role you will possess the following:

  • Lived sex work experience
  • A professional qualification in health, welfare and/or community development. This qualification must be relevant to the needs of people in the sex industry
  • Understanding of harm minimisation including harm reduction
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to negotiate and collaborate within a complex environment and with a variety of stakeholders
  • A belief in the rights of sex workers and an understanding of the stigma and discrimination experienced by workers in the sex industry.
